Initial Assessment

For new patients, we start with a full assessment—usually taking approximately 30 minutes. During this time the doctor will review your full health history and use a hands-on approach to examine your reflexes, muscle tone, nerves, blood pressure, etc. If a pre-existing condition exists or if something doesn’t seem right, they may recommend ordering x-rays to have a closer look. Upon completion, the doctor will advise a recommended treatment plan that is customized to your specific needs.

Stretches at Home

Our chiropractors are quick to make suggestions for stretches and exercises to be done at home. So often your overall recovery can be sped up by completing a regular routine of simple stretches or exercises. These movements/stretches can often aid in the prevention of ongoing issues as well. Our team is dedicated to improving your overall well being.

Sports Injuries?

Come See Us First. 

When sports injuries happen, we are here to respond quickly. We will do our best to get you in with one of our doctors as soon as possible for an examination and often followed up by an x-ray.

Referrals for Massage

Depending on what issue you may be experiencing, we may suggest massage therapy to treat or alleviate a particular issue. So often massage therapy can aid in the healing process and works hand in hand with chiropractic care to provide faster recovery and healing.

A Clinic with Real History

We have a long history of helping patients to feel their best. Our family has been providing chiropractic care and serving the residents and community for over 70 years—through three generations of chiropractors. Our team provides a wealth of knowledge and experience. Dr. Leo Krantz began his practice in Oshawa in 1950. Dr. Krantz was an amazing Chiropractor who inspired many in his family and community. He was on the Board of Directors for the Oshawa Generals and treated many hockey players who became famous and played in the NHL. Dr. Kevin McAllister was originally a high school teacher when he met Jane Krantz, Dr. Leo Krantz's daughter. Dr. Kevin McAllister was amazed and inspired by the care, help and treatment Dr. Krantz gave his patients. After Dr. Kevin and Jane married, he followed in his father-in-laws footsteps graduating from Chiropractic College in 1982 and began practicing chiropractic care. Dr. Kevin and Jane’s oldest daughter, Dr. Kelly McAllister was inspired to become a chiropractor and graduated from Chiropractic College in 2007. Dr. Kevin and Dr. Kelly continue to serve and treat long time patients and new patients. Many of our patients come to our clinic because of wonderful referrals from family and friends. The McAllister family has a great reputation of caring for valued patients across the Durham Region.
